comment Seared bonito is one of the typical bonito dishes and is prepared by searing on the outside of the fish. In this recipe, bonito is breaded and deep fried. As it is a bold dish but easy to make, it is perfect for meals with your guests.

Bonito, block 150 g
(A) Flour as needed
(A) Egg 1/2
(A) Breadcrumbs as needed
Cabbage 100 g
Salt 1.5 g
Pepper to taste
Oil for deep-frying as needed

Cut the cabbage leaves into about 2.5-cm squares. Cook the cabbage leaves in boiling pot of water and drain in a colander.

Sprinkle salt and pepper over the bonito. Dust the bonito with the flour, dip in the beaten egg, and coat with the breadcrumbs.

Heat the oil to 170 oC. Deep fry the (2) bonito in the oil, turning constantly until brown. Cut the bonito into 1-cm-wide strips and place it on top of the (1) cabbage on a plate.
