Soy sauce 1 and 1/3 tsp

Cut the beef into bite-sized pieces. Peel off the tough outer skin of the asparagus and slice diagonally into 3-cm lengths.

Cut the carrot into thin 3-cm long strips (tanzaku-giri). Peel the ginger and cut into julienne strips (hoso-giri). 

Heat the oil in a frying pan and add the ginger. When the fragrance of the ginger is released, add the beef, the asparagus, the carrot pieces and cook. Season with the soy sauce and the salt and pepper. Place the beef and the vegetables on a plate and serve.
