|Cooked rice||200 g|
|Lean beef round, thinly sliced||80 g|
|Toasted sesame seeds||1 and 1/3 tsp|
|(A) Soy sauce||1 tsp|
|(A) Mirin||1 tsp|
|(A) Ginger juice||a little less than 1tsp|
|Green perilla leaves||2|
Mix the (A) ingredients and pour the mixture over the beef. Cover it tightly with plastic wrap and set aside to marinate. Cut the perilla leaves into chiffonade strips (sen-giri).
Mix the sesame seeds into the rice. Divide the rice into portions for servings of 2 rice balls per person. Shape the portions into palm-sized barrels and wrap them with the beef. Arrange the balls on a baking sheet lined with oven paper. Cook them in an oven toaster for 4 to 5 minutes. Place on a dish and garnish with the green perilla leaves.
|technique||You can make it using a frying pan instead of an oven toaster.|
